We aim to accommodate/cater for the needs of all visitors in our family home / Bed & breakfast with a total of 4 guests rooms sleeping 8 persons in total. We are situated in the city of Salisbury, however as we are off the main road, it is fairly quiet from traffic.
The city, which is approx 7 minutes walk is generally flat and there is a small incline up Wyndham Road to our house. The house is on the corner of Wyndham Road & side on to Marlborough Road. All guest rooms face Marlborough & the Family room also has Front aspect on Wyndham.
The Double room has access via our garden & the 3 other guest rooms are on the first floor in the main house.
Being that our house is Victorian (built in 1881), all ceilings are approx 2.95m high with the exception of our Ground floor Double room, which, is a recent addition in the late 1980’s.
The Bus Station is 7 minutes walk situated this side of the Market Square, however, a few buses go up Wyndham Road & there is also a bus stop at the bottom in Castle Street. Most guests walk from the bus station.
The Railway station (Salisbury) is 15/20 minutes walk or there is a Taxi rank outside the station. Taxi’s take 5 minutes.
There are Taxi ranks in the city: One outside Tesco in Castle Street also, one in New Canal opposite M&S.
We regret no Dogs due to some guests having allergies. We have no pets ourselves.
The nearest general store is Tesco on Castle Street approx 7 minutes walk, by the Market Square.
Our Brochure & Menu can be provided in Large Print, if required. We do not have facilities to provide documents in Braille.
Our website www.wyndhamparklodge.co.uk provides pictures of our guest accommodation and information about our services.

Arrival & Car Parking
Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time so that we can welcome you on your arrival. (There is no set arrival time apart from before 9pm in the evening unless arranged otherwise, however, if rooms are not ready then guests are welcome to leave luggage by arrangement.). The front door is always locked.
Suzanne is happy to assist guests with all luggage, however, I am sorry that Peter may not be able to help with heavy luggage due to medical reasons.
If you have a car, please knock at the front door first if you would like off road parking so we can show you. Double gates are situated in Marlborough Road. There are 3 off road parking spaces. These are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, however, having just 4 guest rooms, we do not normally have a problem as not all guests have cars.
The car park with rough ground is not large & bays are partially marked for cars to be driven or reversed straight in (without turning), however, larger cars may take up more space.
There is also plenty off road parking just outside the house. The road parking is restricted to 2 hours for visitors between the hours of 9am–5pm Mon/Sat. Outside these hours there is no restrictions. (if guests arrive after 3pm and leave by 11am there is no need to have a permit for parking in the road! We can issue ‘free’ day permits for road parking if there are no space in our car park. From our Car Park to the house there are 3 steps (122cm width) x (61cm depth) down (with a wall on one side) onto the patio area towards the rear of the house to Dining room patio doors.
There is an iron gate (91cm width) leading to our front door (107cm width) with tarmac path. The path, also leads around the property to the rear patio area & guest room ‘4’. There are 3 steps (14cm high) leading up to the Front entrance with handrail to one side for assistance. The front door is always locked but we do have a bell on the right of the door or a door knocker on the door. In our Hallway (178cm width) there is seating. After check-in all guests are given their own keys for re-entry at all times during their stay.
Guest Accommodation / Public areas
The carpeted hallway leads to the stairs (83cm x26cm) with side handrail for 3 of our guest rooms sited on the first floor. Directly off the hallway is the Dining room where breakfast is served!
The Dining room also leads out to our garden via French doors (89cm wide) with a small lip, then, one step (147cm x 60cm) down onto the patio where the Double bedroom (4) is located along the patio area. The house is centrally heated throughout but temperatures can be adjusted in each room & bathrooms to suit individual requirements.

They all have a centre leg so it is not advisable to lean on them to get up & down. Guests are welcome to make use of the Dining room during the day as we do not have a separate guest lounge. There is a selection of guest information including daily & local papers. We have a wide range of breakfast options cooked to order and large print menus are available if required. (Please advise of special dietary requirement as we do our best to cater.)
There are 14 stairs to the first half-landing where the Single room is located and then a further 4 steps to the main landing where the Twin & Family rooms are next to each other.
